Can't run it second time

I have an old celeron 1.7 Ghz, 512mb Ram, 64mb intel graphics, windows xp sp 3.... The game used to run fine on low settings a month ago. But after a windows reinstallment, and after reinstalling the game- it crashes before it starts. I used an USB drive to install it. Any help?
