Can't run Ram at 2400 Mhz

Hi. I just got a pair of Adata XPG 2400 Mhz 8Gb rams, have 6700 non k cpu and Asus H170 D3 plus mobo.
The problem that in XMP profile I can set 2400 but PC won't start saying can't overclock. Maximum I could get is 1866 Mhz.
Is there any incompatibility? Do I need OC cpu?

Your board only supports up to 1866.

1866 is your max , it's defined by the boards support.
