So I had turned off the undervolt on my CPU a few months ago and now I'm trying to reapply it. Problem is when I adjust the PBO settings I'm sure the BIOS isn't saving the changes for the undervolt. It always says "you have not made any change to the BIOS settings" when I go to exit whereas if I adjust the XMP profile it alerts me that it has been activated/deactivated.

I've tried going back to the old bios I used when I had undervolted before and I still can't save the settings. I was wondering if it was the CMOS but every other setting (changed xmp profiles, fan speeds) saves on the bios except for the amd overclocking section.

Any idea what is going on? MOBO is MSI B550M using Click BIOS 5. Thanks

I occasionally see messages in ASUS BIOS claiming I haven't made any changes, when in fact I have made small changes. I'm desperately trying to remember what these minor changes are. The "non changes" might include changing the boot drive.

It's possible the BIOS is accepting and saving the CPU undervolt, but not mentioning it when you hit F10. Equally well, undervolting might be a mutually exclusive setting that clashes with something else and the BIOS is preventing you from making a "mistake".

Try "saving" an undervolt setting, then run a few tests whilst monitoring Vcore or similar CPU voltage supply to see if it's gone down.

Try also changing something else, something insignificant like disabling the serial ports (which nobody uses), to see if it sees that and then asks if you want to save changes when you exit.

And how are you exiting? You should press the F10 key to save changes and exit; pressing the ESC key will discard changes and exit.
