Can't scan with Epson CX3650

I have just installed the Epson CX3650 all in one device on my new Windows 7 laptop. During the install process it said that the device was not compatible. It allowed me to install it anyway and the printer part of the device works. When I try to scan a document, however, it doesn't work and I get the error message that the scanner is not ready or another applcation is using it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Get one that is compatible with win7.

try epson scan for vista

most vista drivers work for windows 7
