After setting up my first build and getting Windows 10 up my computer didnt seem to recognize my gpu and was using the integrated one.

Downloaded the AMD autoupdater and at the end the screen went black a couple of times and after that icons and all opened windows dissapeared.

I only have the taskbar and if i open anything other then file explorer it will show up on the taskbar bar but no window.

ctr+alt+del brings up a black screen
tried running safe mode with shift+restart but got a black screen too

specs
Intel Core i5 6500 (3.2 GHz)
H110M
RX580 8GB GDDR5
120GB SSD + 1TB 7.200o/min Sata3
Fortron Hyper 600W

English isnt my native language and im a tech noob so its hard to explain the problem
This is my first build and for the last day and a half all I encountered are problems after problems
I just wanna play some videogames pls help guys.

Solution
That would be it, you had the November 2015 build and your card came out in the last few months. I would expect the drivers/card will work much better with a windows that knows card exists.

Connected VGA to my motherboard and using the intel hd graphics 530 to use the computer.
I followed the instructions in your link and its still the same.
Also disconnected the gpu from the slot and cleaned out using some compressed air but still nothing.
Also just tried print screening to show you how it looks but it print screened like it works normally with the dekstop icons and the windows opened.

EDIT;
Managed to capture it by opening snipping tool on my VGA input clicking new and then switching to HDMI and snipping it.
As you can see no dekstop icons and can only open file explorer any program just shows up on the taskbar without the window itself.

Both my gpu and intel hd graphics are enabled in device manager, could that be the problem??

So its like there is an overlay over desktop as all the icons are there if you take a screenshot. wonder if its just showing a really weird resolution such as really big and everything off the screen. I wonder where the screenshot is generated from, if its from the gpu it may have the image that should be going to screen but isn't.

similar problem, similar cards - https://community.amd.com/thread/215576

I have read mixed reports about the power supply. IT may not be supplying the power needed to display the resolution of the screen.

I am not sure what is going on.

When i switch input modes mouse pointer seems to be off screen and have to get it back but why can i see file explorer then but not programs.
And both my integrated gpu and dedicated are enabled in device manager, could that be the problem?

Yes, having two display drivers on PC might cause an issue, try removing intel ones and put AMD in again.

I am not sure only as desktop sort of worked, would think it would fully work or behave another way.

I didn't realise desktop worked so well. i thought you had a black desktop, not a wallpaper...

boot into safe mode using the installer,
boot from installer, on 2nd screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up options
hit the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
Pc will restart and load safe mode

re enable to Intel drivers and disable AMD in device manager.

I am not sure what it did but its the crimson drivers that cause this. Not sure a fresh install will fix it, might just waste an hour.

Unless there is something I don't know about these cards, I have to ask why its doing this.

That start up options menu is a pain, sometimes its there, sometimes its not. Might have to fresh install after all.

Your monitor is ''overscanned'', if you mean your screen doesn't fit into your monitor entirely. Should be able to go into Catalyst control center and change it. Or just have to change your resolution back again, if that's not it.

that is from a post I linked to above.

still odd programs don't show on screen though.

Yep still not there going to fresh install it.
Thanks for ur help man its sad that i have to talk to you instead of somebody at costumer support for AMD.

And yea but i tried enabling gpu scaling and playing around with resolution options of the gpu still didnt do anything.

GPU are about only hardware i don't tell people to use the drivers from makers, only as AMD/Nvidia update drivers faster than makers. I don't know if it would make any difference but its worth a try, drivers seem fairly recent. If you fresh install and same thing happens, need to contact Gigabyte as card might be faulty.

Okay reset windows everything is back to normal.
Device managed reports 2 Microsoft Basic display adapters and both are enabled.
Using HDMI and DP shows no signal only VGA works.
Should i try installing gigabyte driver now??

right click start
choose run...
type winver and press enter

what Version are you on?

If any version prior to 1703, go to here and press update now. that will download the upgrade assistant, run it and it will upgrade you to latest build. Its possible your version of windows doesn't know what your card is.
