Can't See Homegroup on Network - Can't Print

Hello Everyone,

I've got a strange problem and I've done way too many days of research and still didn't manage to fix the problem. I will try to describe it here:

I've got a Printer (Epson XP-422) connected to a wireless network and a few laptops connected to it. On Wifi everything is set-up just fine and working perfectly.

Now, there are also 2 PCs without any WIFI receivers. The PCs are the Only Hard-Wired devices here. The Printer is USB-Cable Connected to the other PC which is running WINDOWS 7.

My PC is running Windows 8.1 and I can't get it to connect to the Printer.

As far as Homegroups are concerned, I've TURNED EVERYTHING ON. Advanced settings/ devices/ etc etc. It's just that even though the 2 PCs are connected to the same network, both of them act as if there wasn't any other Homegroup on the network. If I create a Homegroup on Win7 PC , the Win8 PC can't see that homegroup and vice-versa. I understand that probably the Hard-Wired computers might need to have a homegroup of their own separate from the WIFI, but not even that is working. They act as if they were the only hard-wired computers.

My main goal was to connect the Win7 PC to the network so I can use the Printer connected to it on my PC as well (Via network sharing). I managed to get this working once upon a time and to be honest I don't remember how and why it stopped working.

I've tried all possibilities that I could think of / read on forums, etc etc.

Can some1 please help me out with this?

If the printer is connected wirelessly to your network, then all wired and wireless devices will be able to access it. There isn't a need to connect it via USB to a PC and share it. Homegroup settings will not affect access to a wifi printer. You should only need to run the printer's setup disc on each computer.

The thing is that all the devices that are connected via wireless work Just Fine - installed the Driver and they worked from the start. My PC is connected via cable into the wall-socket - the same as the PC that has the Printer plugged in atm.
Like I said, the printer is only connected via Wireless to the network.

What should I do in this case? Does this mean that the issue is not homegroup related?

PS:

The wireless rooter is also connected into the Wall Socket.

So, both PCs and the router are connected to wall sockets? Do you know to what or to what the wall sockets terminate (another router, switch, or some other device)? Whatever it is could be keeping your wired PCs from seeing anything on the wireless network (devices are operating on a different subnet).
