can't see my g2 portable 500gb as device from mac no more

G2 Portable 500GB CANT SEE FROM MAC recently. Blue light is on but no icon show. I tried finder add external disk and run disk utilities but no hope! Please advise how to back up all the file in this drive. Thank you very much

If you go to Disk Utility does it even show? have you tried on another Mac/PC?

sounds like the USB adapter, that is if it is not integrated with the HDD like the new ones are, is bad.

If it isn't integrated you can open it up and guy a new adapter or enclosure for it and see if it works.
