I bought these external HDD = http://www.toshiba.eu/hard-drives/portable/canvio-connect-II/

Info: "Toshiba Canvio Connect II" its called, however i have a problem when i try to connect 2 of them at the same time to my pc, they are plug & play externals that are formatted for windows 10 which i use.

The 2nd one wont even show up on its own under my folders i still see the old one only and with the remaining space of it, however i can unplug both individually when disconnecting them from the taskbar usb removal tool. Plugging the 2nd one individually by removing the other it shows up with 2.72TB free.

Ive tried changing the drive letter from E: to F: but this doesnt seem to do anything, instead it changes the drive letter for the old one to F: aswell.

I have also tried another brand/external HD "Seagate 2tb" in conjuction with 1 Toshiba plugged in and it works fine. The problem seems to be 2 of the same brand/type of HDD for some reason maybe ?

Solution
Hi again thank to both of you for all your help, however i seemed to have found the solution after someone suggested relabeling it which didnt work but then i looked a bit closer in the black/blue area in "disk management" and it was apparently a "signature collision" that kept the drive Offline i then had to right click the area saying "offline" near the "blue !" mark and choose online and it started to show up.

To anyone else experiencing a similar problem this thread might be helpful even though it says the trick is in Windows 7 it also works in Windows 10. The "selected best solution" in that thread helped me.

Please understand my comments are a "shot-in-the-dark" since I've never worked with those particular Toshiba USB external drives.

I note those drives are pre-installed with the NTI Backup Now EZ program and I'm wondering whether the fact you're connecting two of the external drives simultaneously has something to do with the problem you're experiencing. (That backup program is not particularly popular here in the U.S., so I haven't worked with it.)

Is there any possibility you could temporarily disable one of those backup programs from one of the two Toshiba devices you're connecting? And have you consulted with Toshiba and/or the vendor from whom you purchased those external drives about your problem?

unless the OP did install any program like that when they got the drive plugging a USB device into a computer does not automatically install software

As I indicated, Toshiba DOES pre-install that backup program on that USB device. Whether it has to be triggered by the user in order for the program to activate is something I don't know. But I thought it was worth pointing out to the OP, remote as that possibility may be that's causing the problem he/she has raised.
