Hello, i cant see the content/items i delete in my trash bin on my mac

The idea of the trash bin is to remove un-wanted data from your PC.

Once you delete the contents of the "trash bin" it's gone.

Are you deleting them off an external hard drive? Only items on the local hard drive will apear in the trash bin.

I had a similar problem on my mac without any external drives. I click 'delete' on a file -> I hear the sound of a trash bin -> But the icon doesn't change. Looks like it's still empty. But then I found all my deleted files inside the Trash Bin.
Restarting the system helps. In my situation.
