I've got a pc that I want to hook 3 monitors up to but it's very frustratingly not letting me use the hdmi inputs or the display port input. The screen simply wont read, the only ports that will work however are the dvi ports. Ive tried the onboard graphics using the hdmi through the motherboard, and I've tried all the ports on the graphics card. I've tried different cords and screens and even bought a brand new monitor for this function, returned it and got a different one. I've got 2 screens running of the dvi ports already but I cant get the 3rd to register, wont even show up as a device. Any ideas?

Specs:
970 strix 4g graphics card
ASRock z97 motherboard
i5-4690k cpu @ 3.5ghz
16 gigs of ram
windows 10

It depends on what monitors you used. Keep in mind, the strix 970 can support up to max resolution 4096X2160, that means if the resolution for 3 monitors is more than 4096X2160, it does not work. Because you didn't list the specs, but I guess your problem maybe like that.

You have a integrated graphics adapter.
Windows has no problem with more than one graphics adapter.
Look in your bios and verify that both integrated and discrete adapters are activated.
You may have to install the intel driver for the motherboard graphics.

I think 4096x2160 applies to individual outputs and is not the total for the card.
But high resolutions may come with a limit of 30hz or such.

The motherboard graphics may well have a limitation of two concurrent devices despite having more output connections.
I do not think the 970 has any such restrictions and should support 4 concurrent outputs.

Is the nvidia 970 driver current?
