So I'm not good with Windows. I primarily use Linux as my daily driver, but I hop onto Windows 7 for play a select few games from time to time. So that being said please bare with me as I try to relearn all this Microsoft crap.
My problem is I have an LG 55" 4k television (55UH6030) connected to my computer, along with a 25" NEC monitor (2490WUXi). The NEC is capable of displaying in a 1920 x 1200 resolution, and obviously the LG is capable of 3840 x 2160. I've not had any problem with the NEC it's connect via DVI, its the LG that I'm have a problem with. It's connected via HDMI, but I can not for the life of me get windows 7 to allow me to set it to it's full resolution.
I know my system is capable of doing it.
Motherboard: Msi 970 gaming
CPU: AMD FX 8350
Ram: 16gig Patriot Vipor
Graphics: MSI R9 380 2gig x2 in crossfire
I've got AMD diver software up to date, I just don't understand why I can't set to LG to 4k. Any insight into this problem would be appreciated greatly. I'm probably just over looking something stupid or obvious.
