Question Can't select M.2 as boot drive (CSM disabled), also trying to do Win11 USB installation

Amd ryzen 9800x3d
Radeon RX 7800
G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo Series 48GB
Samsung 990 Pro 1TB with Heatsink

I recently got a new moba, cpu, ram and storage. I put it all together, and now I'm trying to install Windows 11. I selected the m.2 as the drive win11 will go. I have even used the shift+F10 trick to use diskpart to clean and covert it to gpt as well. So, I go through the installation process, and once it resets, it just boots back to the beginning of the win11 installation setup.

And just for extra clarity, once win11 "installs", it's restarts and goes back to the "select language/time" menu. I have never been to select "country" screen yet, which looking at youtube videos is what I should see next. I am aware it might be doing this because the USB is still plugged, so I try to start up the bios instead to change the boot drive

However, only the USB is selectable. The 990/m.2 drive shows in the bios, and I was able to even install windows on it, but I can't select it as a boot option. So I turned the computer off, took out the USB, but then it boots straight the bios. Again, the 990 is on the bios, but I can't select it as a boot option on ez or advance mode.

What am I missing? I'd really appreciate any help.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When you perform a cold boot, can you see the option tog et into BIOS? It should be the F2 key for ASRock motherboards. You can then select the primary boot device to be Windows Boot Manager.

Out of curiosity, what BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

Where did you source the installer for the OS?

I use F2 to get into the bios. However, the m.2 drive is not select able. It's shows up in the system specs, showing its detected by the BIOS, but I can't select it as a boot option in the ez mode or advanced boot tab

The current version is 3.10. I had to flash it when putting the all the parts together.

As for the source for the installer it was off the windows site, but I downloaded it off a display computer at a store. To make a long story short; I have no second computer, I couldn't download the OS installer at the library, so I went to an Exchange store on the base I'm stationed at and asked the electronics Dept if I could do that. My brother pitched me the idea of wiping the USB and installing the OS installer from a "normal" computer.
