[SOLVED] Can't send full sound to a Polk Audio MagniFi One 240W soundbar through a VIZIO HDTV.

I have my laptop connected to a VIZIO HDTV from a few years ago by HDMI.
I connected Polk Audio MagniFi One 240W to a VIZIO HDTV - optical.

My laptop only sees this as 2.0 sound, and thus my soundbar is not utilized fully.

Couldn't find any option on the tv to bypass audio. What are my options?

Are you talking about the laptop not seeing the subwoofer? It won't, the bass frequencies are sent to the sub from the main soundbar not from the computer or TV as a separate signal.

Get an USB audio adapter with optical output, and connect the soundbar directly to the laptop. The TV is too dumb to convert / decode HDMI down to PCM.

What would be the cheapest option here?
I only care about the sound, i can control it from the laptop. Seems like the following is an overkill.
