Can't send text msg!

For the last couple of days, I have not been able to send text messages
from my LG vx4400. I can receive messages, but not reply or send new
messages. I get a message failed response, then when selected yes in the
try again dialog, a message indicating a network error. CS claims I need
a software update (my software version is 04). Anyone else had this
problem, and is a software update the indicated solution?

Same thing happened to my Motorola 120. Took it in to Verizon and they did a
software upgrade. It was fixed AND I now have games and a calculator!! :)

Verizon has decided they no longer want to wait until the end of the month
to bill you the 10 cents for the message. If you'll insert a dime into the
battery charging slot on the bottom of your phone, the message will go.

add this to the great equation of life, the universe, and everything:

It's quite possible. Thing is, you should have done it a month ago, when
you still would have gotten v10; now you will get v11, which some people
are finding to be troublesome.

I'd say, go ahead and do it, but keep an eye on this group for a mention of
v12 coming out and fixing the problems with v11. That could happen next
week or next year (they went through several versions quickly, then stuck
with v10 for eight months).
