Can't set chrome as default!!

Win 10
I go to Settings->System>Default Apps and change to chrome, it doesn't do anything.
Then I tried the control panel option, it says it's default, but when I search Cortana, it goes to Microsoft Edge. This is very annoying and I really don't know what to do. Thanks a lot

There's probably no issue here. Microsoft made cortana use bing and edge by default and it's not affected by the default browser setting. But there are ways to make it work. It's not a simple process, but here's a guide for that:

Um it actually went straight to chrome before an update, but I'll try that anyway. thanks
