Hi!

I am new to Tomshardware so ask me if you need more information than I am going to provide now but I'll try my best.

I have 2 of the same monitors (vx238h) and one Samsung 1080p monitor in the middle and I have been using a triple monitor setup for a while now with a gtx 970, because the MSI gtx 970 had one display port, one hdmi port and one dvi port. It was working fine till I had to sell 970 for reasons and use my old hd 7850, didn't change any settings on the computer, didn't change any cables or anything on the monitors but yet the PC thinks the monitors native resolution is 1600x1200 and if I set 1600x900 I have huge black bars below and above (16:9 scaling which the monitor is). I don't understand why the 3rd monitor wont change to 1920x1080. It worked with my GTX 970 but just not with the HD 7850.

Solution
You should make sure you have completely deleted all traces of your nvidia drivers (both both your 560 and 970) then, delete all amd drivers, re install the drivers and see what happens

Go to CCC and look at max resolution. If it's set to 3k it should be fine. Unless the max res can be set to 1080p and still work in eyefinity?

edit: I don't know your monitors exactly, but if they don't support eyefinity natively they wont work. They probably support nvidia surround and thats why it worked with your 970.

Well, I tried with my older worse GTX 560ti that has the same IO layout as 7850 and get the same problem. But I know 560ti doesn't even support 3 monitor setup but I still get the same issue regarding resolution wise.

I have tried using different cables for each monitor, also tried reinstalling AMD drivers but no success so far besides making the monitor entirely black not even wanting to respond or do anything, won't even show up anymore
