Can't set date and time in BIOS

Hello,
I have a laptop HP Compaq 6715s. When it's left shut down for more than 10 minutes, the date and clock in Windows always reset to 00:00 in year 1980. After I saw that system date in BIOS is also wrong (it says it's year 2007), I suspected CMOS battery had to be replaced. So I replaced it. But then I noticed there is no option in BIOS menu to change time and date. I also tried that HP Bios utility which allows to change bios settings in Windows environment, but it also doesn't have the option to set date. I reset CMOS by taking the battery out for a few minutes, but all I achieved was that during boot it shows a message "time and date not set 163". It boots and starts windows normally though. Then I thought it might be necessary to flash BIOS to a newer version. I have version F.07. On HP Support page there is one newer version, F.20, but it has a windows-based install and it can only run under Windows XP or Vista (I have Windows 7).
Does anyone have any idea how do I change BIOS system date to a correct one?

Thank you in advance

Did you read my answer? There is no newer BIOS that I can install. It exists, but it comes as a "HPQflash package" which can only be installed via windows under certain operating system, which isn't mine.

Okay so now I figured out that BIOS doesn't show system time and date at all. The date I believed was system date, turns out to be just a ROM production date. So, how do I set the date and time in bios if it doesn't even show them anywhere? Is there maybe a command line or something that would allow me to do so?
