I have a amd r7 240 GPU and athlon x2 340 (im gettin a new computer tommorow)
I just got a new monitor for my build and im using it on my soon to be old pc. Its a AOC G2260vwq6
monitor with freesync(not compatible on current GPU) that is advertized as being capable of 75hz, however i cant set it above 60hz, i tried making a custom resolution in amd settings but it didnt work, in windows settings i can set it to 50,59 and 60 hz. The monitor has no option for refresh rate in its menu. The problem will probably be gone on my new pc, but it may still not work. Do i have to activate freesync for 75hz? (Old pc isnt supported, new one will have a r3 2200g vega 8 which is good for the games i play, the mobo has vga and hdmi, i can use hdmi for freesync [ in the manual it says DP is not supported with freesync { which is probably wrong, and it may also mean it works with hdmi } ] ) i currently use hdmi on my old pc and will still be using it. I hope someone can help.
