[SOLVED] cant switch boot drive

i cloned my hard drive onto my ssd and switched the ssd to the highest priority in the bios but when i do benchmarks it says my system could load faster if i switch the boot drive onto an ssd. i just uninstalled and then re installed windows but when i installed it didnt give me an option for which drive to put files in.

Just delete HDD from possible boot devices, leave SSD only.

And you should be able to tell which drive is SSD and which HDD.

In "Boot"" section of the BIOS, you have a list of devices which BIOS tries to boot from, in some order. You probably have both SSD and HDD there, delete the HDD from the list (this won't do anything to the drive itself).

So with only the SSD, the system does not boot up properly?
If that is the case, you've done something wrong in your cloning process.

i used easeus todo and used the clone option and used the optimize for ssd and i made sure it cloned everything

Well, if it fails to boot up after that process, either it failed, or you did something not quite right.

I wouldn't think so.

So far...
We know the system does NOT boot up from the SSD. So it might still be running from the HDD.
We also do not not know what SSD this is, and on which motherboard.

Samsung 860 evo 500 gb ssd
Motherboard
Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E

i used the samsung cloning software and suddenly i could boot with only the ssd now so it is fixed
