Cant type vertical lines.

I used to be able to type them yet after reinstalling OS i cant.
I know its not Hardware as i have tried to keyboards same problem.
ITs like the key isn't assigned any more as it used to be shft + \ for a vertical line. Now that button does nothing with shift.

can type \ ok though.

I really need this key, solution pls.

most likely culprit is wrong keyboard layout. Depending on keyboard layout selected, buttons do different things. I also suppose you are talking about | which for me is altgr+< (left of z key)

What keyboard language do you have?

Have you set this up in windows or what ever os you have yet?

Edit: If I can find out the ID of the key i can assign it via Sharp keys.... I think, i am not sure.

Yes i do mean that one. i just reinstalled OS from scratch. Then it dont work anymore.

Edit: Setting my language to English india fixes this..... Must be something wrong with my language.
Yet i dont want to set my language to india... For obvious reasons.

Issues has been found.

s you can guess windows 10 was being an absolute £$%^ and doesn't auto download the language pack.

Re downloading it from the language menu and reelecting English seems to have solved it.
