Just built new system, here are the specs
CPU: Intel Core i7-13700K
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3060
SSD: Samsung 990 Pro NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB
RAM: G Skill Intl F5-6000J3636F162x16GB
MBD: Asrock Z790 Steel Legend WiFi

Ok my old system was a ASrock Z390 with GTX1060 & 16 meg ram with a Samsung sata SSD drive. So going to give it to my grandson, took out the Samsung drive and added
a M.2 drive to the board. (Crucial P5 500GB 3D NAND NVMe)
Here is the hard part, this machine now boots to desktop in 9 sec, my new machine takes 20 secs. This should be other way around? My new
machine takes a lot of time in bios and it is set to fast boot. Whats going on here?

Reset the bios to default mode, and then enable some features, like fast but or intel speed shift technology. You must read the mainboards bios manual. And if you don't understand something, ask questions here. intel i7 and 3060 ti are very good. You only need an ssd and 16 giga ddr4 ram.
