Cant uninstall or remove hp photosmart software

Hello,
cant remove or uninstall HP Photosmart software. Also went to program files and tried to delete or rename the HP folder and it keeps asking me to retry

What error message do you get when you try to uninstall from the control panel>Programs and Features?

try booting to safe mode by pressing the f8 key at start up rapidly. select safe mode and try to delete the folder from program files in safe mode. then remove the entry from the list in add/remove programs by clicking it. good luck.
