Can't update BIOS on my ASUS X99-WS/IPMI motherboard. It always says that BIOS file is wrong. The options I see now is to buy a new BIOS chip on eBay, but I think that the reason is that ASUS support have the wrong file name on their website.
Try this:
Download the latest version from https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/X99WSIPMI/HelpDesk_Download/
Unzip and rename X99-WS-ASUS-IPMI-3202.CAP to X99WSI.CAP
Save the renamed file on a FAT 32 formatted USB drive.
Connect the drive to the designated Flashback port (check the manual for its location).
Don't start the board.
Press the Flashback button for 3 seconds.
Wait until completed (more than 10 seconds).

Hi Stanislav_K I don't think you need a new Bios chip.
Your MB is a fairly new release and I could not find any version update from ASUS Support.
The Bios file once downloaded has to be renamed with the correct X99~~.CAP file name to suit your specific MB.
I have tried to find your specific file name without success and ASUS support should know it for your X99-WS/IPMI Motherboard
You have Bios flash utility on your rear IO panel which is the best method to update your Bios file with a USB stick.
I do know Asus X99-Pro/USB3.1 file is X99PUB31.CAP but not sure with yours.
EDIT: They have withdrawn the Bios file from the Support site, so something is wrong with it.

Ok, it finally worked
It didn't worked with 3 new flash drives, but it worked with an old (10+ years) 2gb drive.
It took about 3 minutes to update.
