cant update bios

Just installed a new ssd trying to update bios but its saying it cant read my usb. My mobo is MSI B75MA-P45 (MS-7798) and my cpu is an i5 3570k. My msconfig32 says im running uefi I dont know if thats affecting anything. my bios ver is ami v1.3 the latest version is 1.9 from what I have found online any help would be appreciated.
 
yes the usb is fat32 what am I rereading? I have the usb in restart go to bios click live update/m-flash/utilities then theres no update bios like in this pic..http://i.imgur.com/paYjME7.png it says select one file to update bios so i click that then it says media not found please plug in the usb media and press enter to try again.
 


change legacy USB support to enabled
 
I had a similar issue trying to update my bios. It kept telling me to plug in the USB drive when it was already in. I was able to use it fine in Windows, but the bios couldn't see it. Finally, I enabled USB "Legacy mode" and then I was able to update the bios.
