Question Cant update my BIOS no matter what I do

I got a brand new prebuilt around Xmas time was using it often and noticed the temps on the CPU were insanely high as image shows, I was told updating my bios would most likely fix the problem as my bios was last updated in January 1'st 2024. Problem is I don't have anywhere in my BIOS to update via usb, no uefi settings, no Qflash button nothing, the only way I can update is through DOS I think??? I launched via usb and had to type like FSO: in some bootup menu and select the usb with the updated bios files but yet to no avail I still can't update my bios. I even bought a brand new usb to be able to format to fat 32 as I thought it was that problem. honestly im not tech savvy but at this point im 80% to sending it back I just didnt want to even need to. any help would be appreciated

The prebuilt is a Vibox x-31
Specs are an nvidia 4070ti super
i9 14900kf 32gb ram

for some more info the bios is an american megatrends bios, it literally says nothing about updating bios or anything on there I'm trying to do it with usb by using usb boot priority, it'll take me into the EFI shell mode but any commands I type do nothing

Out of curiosity, can you pass on an image of the system's innards to see how that i9 is being cooled?

The listing on Amazon doesn't show the make and model of your motherboard bundled in the prebuilt. What motherboard are you working with? You can pass on a screenshot of what you see off of CPU-Z under the Mainboard tab. It'll also show us what BIOS version you're currently on.

To add, where did you gain instructions to flash the BIOS and in essence where did you source the BIOS file for said motherboard, to flash with?

heres the mainboard screenshot, Im not sure how I find my cooler, I know its a deepcool cooler just not sure what specific one, I gained instructions from a previous forum someone had said my board was out of date which was causing the high temps and the best way to fix that would be to update the bios as there was new bios drivers for the i9 in september that came out. I found i have a b760m d2h motherboard so I downloaded and extracted the most recent bios files from their website on a usb to try update via the usb but in my bios i see nothing at all, I'll try get an image of the bios but dont stress yourself too much with helping as I've already contacted the company about getting it refunded

I only find a Gigabyte motherboard with that model number https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B760M-D2H-DDR4-rev-10#kf Probably the System OEM has made a custom BIOS for it. Besides that the motherboard has a horrible VRM for a 14900KF.

Like asked above, please post pictures of the internals of the system. Motherboard, CPU cooling and PSU are important to know.

Yes its a gigabyte motherboard but the problem was I was having trouble updating the bios as the bios wasnt a gigabyte bios like ive had in previous rigs im suspecting its what u said and it has a custom bios, as for the horrible vrm it was purchased as a gift to me but even still there is no excuse for horrible vrm causing this issue surely that isnt the problem?

That is correct that is the pc that was gifted to me the vibox x-31 , I will attach another image on cpuz of my cpu but I dont know how i find out what cooler im using

after looking into your suggestion about the VRM i did some benchmark tests on cpuz these were the results https://valid.x86.fr/htynes

is it possible it is too much for the system and I should underclock the cpu?

Im almost certain it is the fact my bios hasnt been updated since january to be compatible with my i9 the problem is i cant update my bios through any usb as my bios isnt what it shows with a normal gigabyte board

download the latest bios... then unzip it... change the bios name to "gigabyte.bin" then transfer it to a usb stick (it must be under 32gb and formatted to "fat32". then turn of pc.. and insert usb stick into the back of the copmputer in the usb socket that says "bios flash".. there will be a small button next to it.. / then turn on psu.. press small button for 3-5 seconds and you will see a red flashing led. this will start the flash bio update. sit back and wait about 10+ minutes for it to do its job.. when red led stops flashing and the computer does several reboots (this is normal) it will then boot into windows and you will have updated the bios and maybe solved your high temps issue. . ..

also for a 14900 cpu you would be best suited to an "aio cpu cooler" (it will have to tubes coming from the cpu secition to a radiator and fans.. it will be the best cooling solution ..

Im unable to Q-Flash as theres no option in my bios for it nor is there a port in the back of my pc the only way im able to qflash is if i take out the entire cpu to get to the button on the mobo

yes to that.. ,tke out the cpu if its in the way(you can flash with it still in,but most people take out cpu as some boards are fussy about the cpu still being inserted.. but all you need to do is insert the usb stick into a recommende "usb slot"...then press the "q=flash button.. "make sure you renamed the bios file. as recommend.
