Can't update my BIOS!!!

i have the latest updated BIOS on a flash drive, i go into tool and select flash, the pc detects the flash drive, but when i press the folder the whole thing freezes, and i can do nothing, any help on this end or do i have to spend money on taking it to a tech shop?

the Mobo is Asus prime B250-pro

to access the bios hammer the delete key before system boots up as soon powered on
have a fresh formatted FAT32 USB stick download the bios from motherboard manufacturer only stick the bios you just downloaded on the USB stick recommend at least 2 bios's even if old re-boot press the delete button repeatedly to get into your bios select system then update bios select usb device flash it leave it to do its thing then you should be good with your new bios
if done wrong will brick your motherboard

so i should have a older version too if the latest one does not work?

well yeah there is always the possibility that it will not flash but generally if you get them only from the motherboard manufacturers web page you should be fine its always good to have an old one just in case.
