Can't update Q5WV1217 1.13 bios to 2.17 bios

As it says on the BIOS downloads page for update 2.21 & 2.17:

"UEFI for Windows 8 (Not for Upgrades)"

Those two updates are only for laptops which came with Windows 8 factory pre-installed, not for laptops which have been upgraded to Windows 8 by the laptop owner.

So if you upgraded your OS to Windows 8, there is no BIOS update for your laptop since you already have the latest BIOS version (1.13) that's compatible with a legacy BIOS.

BIOS 1.13 is a legacy BIOS, whereas the two later ones are for laptops equipped with UEFI, which your laptop doesn't have. You can't update a legacy BIOS with an update designed for EUFI BIOS.

That's why the message-box says "Please update to the same type of BIOS (1.1x)"

Maybe you know where I can get modified BIOS,because when I upgraded to Windows 8.1,my computer started to have issues with battery-random shutdowns,unplugging power cord results in instant shutdown(battery for computer is visible and exists)I readed somewhere,that newest bios fixes this problem,but I can't find it....
