can't update to A06 Bios update (dell XPS 8300) windows 8 64bit

as the title says I've been trying to update my BIOS from A03 to A06 but windows 8 continue to tell me that it doesn't recognize the application and refuses to run it.
Currently running Win 8 64bit

bypass windows..
you couldn't be bothered to write a proper question - so I cant be bothered to check..
But most BIOS updates can be run from a CD or USB.. and run as alterative boot device.. so run before Windows loads..
Check it out.
Or talk to Dell.. they should be able tell you.

No - you go to the Dell web site....find the section on your machines BIOS update...... and read what it says about the various options on how to install!!!

Look at the Installation Instructions section. Very straight forward.

alright it says to use a floppy disk which I don't have a reader for nor a floppy disk itself, can I use a flash drive instead?

*Edit I'm starting to re-think flashing my bios to AO6, since everyone sense don't flash your BIOS when your computer is running smoothly, which it is. When I do my transplant to a 600T and new parts which aren't recognized by the mobo then I'll consider flashing the BIOS till I can get a proper mobo
