Question Can't update Windows after cloning/replacing old SSD

Hi all.

I haven't been able to update my Windows since 1803, 17134.1345. Previously, the reason was because I didn't have enough free space on my small SSD drive to allow the update. I then upgraded to a larger drive, and cloned the old drive with Macrium Reflect so I didn't have to reinstall windows and all my software. The problem is, even after getting a new drive, the update still can't be performed. It performs the update seemingly all the way through, and then restarts and reverts the changes and tells me the update failed.
Is there any way that Windows is still seeing the old drive size and that's why it's failing? Is there any way to change this or get around it? Also, if I install a clean windows, will it likely fix the drive size problem (if that's what it is)? I am trying to avoid a windows reinstall because of all the software I'd have to re-configure and redownload. Thanks!

Sometimes antivirus can interfere with windows update process. What antivirus are you using?
If it is something other than windows defender, then try uninstalling antivirus, update windows and reinstall antivirus.

I'm going to try uninstalling antivirus and updating again. It is BitDefender free.

I tried Update Assistant again with Antivirus removed and this time it restarted several times but in the end had the same problem. Just says my PC encountered a problem and the changes are being reverted.
