Can't upgrade my drivers to 12.1...(AMD saphirre HD 6970)

Hey guys, I built my computer a good 5-6 months ago and it's been running great. I've had 0 problems with it and make sure to install new updates once in a while.

Now, my problem is pretty weird and I really don't know what I'm dealing with. Usually when I install new GPU drivers, I delete all my old ones and install the new ones right after. When I do that, the screen use to shrink but never would it lose it's color. As soon as I reinstalled the drivers and tweaked the settings everything would work fine. I never had a problem doing this before so it surprises me that the whole screen loses colors when I do it now. Am I doing something wrong?

It happen when video card is faulty. I lost card like this. Your pc should hang when you try to play game. Right? If yes go for RMA.

I'd really doubt it. I just tried Skyrim, BF3, Deus Ex: HR and Fallout 3. They all work at the highest settings.

Then you have good luck. Check the bios post screen if there is the same corrupted color issue. If there is no such problem in post screen, then it it may be video driver.

I had this problem myself, and so did few my friends who had 12.11 installed.
It's definitely a driver problem, and only happens when you uninstall the 12.11 from your system, doesn't affect people who just re-install drivers without deleting previous version first, so it's not so widespread

I just installed latest driver today, 12.1 Find no problem yet. Everything runs perfectly. And i uninstalled previous driver first. Thats the best way to install new driver.
