[SOLVED] Can't upgrade Ram on X99 Deluxe

Hi guys, I got 4x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 c16 and I can't get it to boot up. I get a long and two short beeps which means memory issues. I use the Mem Ok button, it'll cycle a few times but still won't accept it. Currently, I have 4x4GB in there.

This is my current set up. I tried 2x16GB earlier and didn't work so I thought the issue was in Memory per stick. But now this one isn't working either. Any advice how to make it work? And if not, which is the best 32gb memory that will work for my board? Thanks, guys.

Did you completely unplug the system between changing memory? If not, you may have damaged the modules as there would be voltage still in the motherboard even with the power switch off.

What is your BIOS version?

Some of the BIOS update does have stuff like :

- Improved DRAM compatibility

Hmm, I haven't, I just powered it down. But, I put in my usual ram and it's working fine. Is it still possible it's damaged?

American Megatrends Inc, 10004, 10/16/2014 if it helps. SMBIOS version is 2.8.

Wow you're using 1004 Date - 2014. There are 19 BIOS update after the one you're using. A few DRAM compatibility update.

I gotcha. Thank you, I'm going to try updating the BIOS tomorrow and try again.

That did it. Updated Bios and ram was no problem. Thank you SO much.
