Can't upgrade, refreshed PC

As stated above, I wasn't allowed to upgrade to Windows 10 via free upgrade from 8.1 because of 4 drivers from something I had uninstalled previously, yet the drivers didn't go with them.

FYI BlueSoliel and IVT corp are the worst possible software companies I've dealt with, to date. I had bought a bluetooth dongle for my PC since my mobo lacked integrated BT and WiFi, and to use said dongle, I had to install the necessary drivers from their site.

Anyways, couldn't find them after uninstalling, and anytime I tried to do an upgrade to Win 10, I'd be told I wasn't compatible due to 4 drivers associated with the dongle because the manufacturer of the dongle did put out new drivers.

Backed up all my personal files on an external, and decided to do a refresh after owing my PC for a year.

Now a new problem, I've got my PC to boot, installed all drivers and programs associated with mobo and GPU, but now I'm not getting any Windows updates.

So now I'm, Win 8, not Win 8.1. Not getting the prompt to upgrade to Win 10 for free.

Do I just need to be patient and keep my PC connected to the internet for a bit before my OS recognizes it actually has updates it could use, or is my PC pooched...

Always read reviews before buying something...

Install windows 10 by downloading the iso file from Microsoft website instead. Since you already have Windows 8 registered getting Windows 10 will be free.

If the drivers didnot uninstall correctly have you tried to update the driver from their website so that every device works and no problem

windows 8.1 is a free update from MS so it should be showing up when you go to windows update but still you can always download windows 10 on a bootable USB/DVD drive and install it that way. but before you do make sure that USB dongle has drivers that will work for windows 10
