Hi all, new to this site. I just bought an Acer Nitro VG240YU 23.8" WQHD monitor since my old one took a dump. I can't seem to get it any higher than 1080p. I've updated all the drivers, including the monitor's driver, and nothing works. My system is an HP 500-336 i3-4130 3.4 ghz, 240GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 8GB RAM, using the integrated Intel HD 4400. Since it doesn't have an HDMI hookup, I use a DVI-D to HDMI which should support 1440p. The only time I can get it to go to 2560x1440 is when I uninstall the driver and restart. It's on that resolution until Windows update the driver about 20-30 seconds later. Then it switches back to 1080p. The monitor works with my Xbox One S on its highest capabilities, but fail to work with my desktop. I just ordered a GT 1030 2GB DDR5 (I don't PC game) for $85+tax on Amazon because I got frustrated, but if I can get this to work, I'll save myself that $85+ since I just spent money on this monitor, 2TB external, and other stuff, and work on rebuilding this computer with a i5-4570 that I just got for free that works on this MB.

So if anyone got any solutions, please HELP!
