Cant use full RAM on windows 10

Hello! I have a problem that i cant use my RAM fully....I am using 8gb of ram but only 5.93gb are available...I tried to change this from the windows but nothing happened...So i think that now i have to do something form the bios but i dont know what....I am using an asus rog strix b350f mobo...PLZ help me

Run 'Resmon', go to memory tab, and look at the graph at the bottom. Do you have a lot of hardware reserved RAM? Perhaps you have a CPU with on-board graphics?

Look for a setting like this in your bios:

See if it's set to 2gb. If it is, then it is justified.
Adversely, you can change that setting and see if the usable memory changes along with it.

i already have changed this in 2 gb
But the problem its not in the VRAM but in Ram

The 2400g reserves system memory as vram.

It sounds like your APU is using 2GB, with maybe some more reserved. It happens. See my APU's RAM usages before I got a dedicated gfx card:



You can perhaps set it to 1GB in the BIOS, and get another gigabyte of RAM back, but it will depend on what you're asking of the gfx chip. If you watch a lot of 1080p vids, might be worth leaving it at 2GB.

so if i need to play a game i have to buy extra ram or i can minimize the vram so i can have more ram available...or this might hυrt the apu ?

If you're playing games, you'll probably want more RAM allocated to gfx than less. If you're trying to play a game that uses more RAM than you have available, then you'll need to re-think your setup.

i want to play bo4 and which game minimun requirement is 8gb ram....and have 8gb exchactly...so if i minimize vram to 128kb will this be good ?

My advice is to get a dedicated gfx card if you want to run those kinds of games with 8GB of RAM. Seriously. You'll spend more time trying to get a playable game if you don't.

Even a GT 1030 will be better, as it will free up the RAM for the game and add 2GB of VRAM. If your budget will go further, a GTX 1050 or GTX 1050 Ti will be even better.
