Question Can't use integrated graphics

I'm taking out my GPU so I wanted to use my integrated graphics for now but I can't seem to.(My mobo is Z270F and CPU =i7-6700k)

I changed the primary display to IGFX in BIOS but once it boots it just goes back to using GPU. I've tried taking out the GPU and plugging the monitor directly to mobo DVI, but I don't see anything when it boots, the monitor power indicator just flashes but I do make it to desktop as I can hear the beeps.

Also, I can't seem to install the Intel HD graphics driver, I can't even see it on the device manager. The intel driver installer says "Operating system version not supported for this product". I'm on Windows 10, 1909.

Thanks. I thought your CPU might not have a graphics chip but it does have one sure enough.
When you changed graphics to "IGFX" in BIOS, did you "save & exit"?

What video output on motherboard are you using? Any adapters/converters used to connect to monitor?

Can you show a photo of graphics adapter settings in your BIOS?

Most definitely saved. It just reverts. 😕
