Can't view some pictures on my PC after virus attack, help

hi,
so some time ago I've got a virus on my PC. Quite bad so had to reinstall my PC. But unfortunately the folders with pictures that i had on infected PC are not available for preview. So cant see anything. The pictures that i have on external HDD or on D:\ are opening fine. Just pictures that i kept on my C:\ . Any ideas how to save them. Thanks in advance.

Yes only pictures that are invisible are those that where located on C drive. I relocated them on D drive before reinstalling OP. after reinstalling pictures are still missing (even if they have weight (MB) ) I tried picture recovery software but best i could get is thumbnails pictures but no actual picture. Windows picture and Fax viewer can't see them (so does other programs). Recovered some from memory card but lots of them was not from my memory cards. Can send samples of pictures if interested. =))) Been pain in ****** for days. But happy that restored at least some of pictures.

File information may have been corrupted. If the filkes were infcted then some of the information in them may have been destroyed. Try running EaseUS data recovery (free download) on the folder with all the corrupted pictures in and see what happens.
