Anyone use a Canon IP4000 with OEM inks on a Canvass Paper. If so, what
brand of Canvass. I understand that you can take a Canvass print and
apply a clear gel so it looks like an oil painting and the ink will not
smear.

I've not tried canvas paper but I have printed onto plastic film then
sprayed with acrylic to waterproof. I've tried several makes of acrylic
spray from the local DIY stores and most work although some have a slight
yellow colour tint.
