Current Build.

CPU: I7-8700K. 3.70GHz
RAM: G.Skill 32GB (2X16) Ripjaw V Series DDR4 PC4-25600. 3200 MHz (For Intel z170)
MOBO: ASRock z370 Pro4 LGA 1151. Intel z370 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s.
PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus 850 Gold.
Cooling: ID-Cooling Auraflow x360. (360mm CPU Liquid cooler 3x 120MM Fan)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080.

Looking to go straight into either the AMD Radeon 6900 or 6800xt. Wondering if I"ll need to make any major changes to my system. I know that running AMD CPU with the Radeon series stuff will be optimal, but until I can afford to upgrade my CPU and MOBO at the same time I was hoping that I'd still see significant gains (If it's possible) by switching over to AMD.

I"ve never used AMD Cards, or CPU's so I don't know exactly what will mix, mesh or clash. Thank you in advance!

Looks fine to me as well. You could , looking at that cpu cooler, try to overclock the cpu to help abit with performance.

Thank you, I thought it would be fine but 1st AMD card didn't want to just leap into new water without an opinion. I've thought about doing some OC as I've just recently gotten that CPU Cooler.
