Capacitor replacement

Hello, I hope there may be a versatile wise man/wise gal who can tell me if I can replace a 450,000 microfarad 5vP capacitor with a 470,000 microfarad 5-30v capacitor, on the crossfire bridge
bridge of an ATI 5780 card. My understanding, be it flawed or not, is the capacitor is smoothing and stabilizing the flow of power to downstream components at a capacitance level over a voltage range. My question is if I'm correct that I could replace the 450000 micofarad farad 5v capacitor with the 470000microfarad 5-35v capacitor? Thanks so much for the consideration.

You can always replace a capacitor with one that is higher in capacitance and or voltage. Capacitors don't have a voltage range only a value which is the maximum voltage that will be safe.
