Capslock and CTRL are swapped for some reason

One day i was just casually playing videogames, as i noticed my capslock light beeing turned on. i tried turning it off but pressing hte button didnt actually do anything for me, so i go to a browser, try to swap tabs with ctrl+1234 and notice that also didnt work. So now ive noticed that ctrl and caps are actually just swapped,and i have no idea why that happend or how to fix it.

I press the CTRL key and it switches capslock on and off. So, function.

Is this a new or old keyboard? Does the keyboard have programming macros? And I take it, it just happened all of a sudden? No drinks spilled on it or anything of the sort? Is it still under warranty?

Either there is a defect in the circuitry that is causing the key map to think it is the caps lock, or (if it is a gaming keyboard with macro's); that somehow it got reprogrammed, or the signal is being shorted out. I would see if you can warranty the device.
