Capture Card Lagging

So ive had my Avermedia Live Gamer Portable for about two years now and it has worked great. But now i got a new PC and after i installed all of the drivers for it it sends the video from my console to the tv fine. The problem is when it gets to my computer the video feed is about 1 frame every 3 seconds. Which is not good for Recording/Streaming I was wondering if any of you could help me troubleshoot or help me fix this? Thanks

Nevermind Everyone I Figured It Out I had my capture card hooked up to my computer via USB expansion port. That Made the data traverse very slowly!, All fixed.
