Question Capture card

I was wondering if I needed a Graphics card for my PC if I was going to use an elgato capture card, run from my xbox to my PC. The PC is actually a laptop with i5 and 6gb ram but no graphics card

depends ion what you are doing with the capture.
Storing it for later - no extra GPU needed.
Streaming it - the built in Intel h.264 encoder works well with Elgato but is not the best of quality but since you are using a laptop then you have little choice. Software encoding will make a big hit on the CPU so if that is what you are looking for then which CPU do you have?

I just want to make sure that I dont need a graphics card even though amazon says I do. Ill be taking the videos and running them through an Editor when they are saved, but my laptop has no trouble with that anyways
