Car stereo: Correct amperage and voltage.

Hey guys
I'm thinking of making use of a cool car stereo at home.
But i have doubts about the right power supply

The user guide shows: 12 to 14v dc voltage ad 10a for amperage
It has a 4 speaker output of 50w each.

Been reading through lots of posts and guides about using a pc power supply.

I can get a regular saller 12v 10A power supply (no a pc one)

My question is: would it be enough to run that equipment full volume ?
Or should i get a more powered pc psu? lets say like a 30 amps per 12v output.

Will the stereo's fuse (marked 10A) blow if a connect 12v 30A (or anything over 10A) there?

No if you put a 10A load on something that can provide 30A it will still only pull 10A.

I would avoid using something that meets the exact requirements. If it is asking for 10A get a 15A supply. You want to try and stay within 50-70% load on the supply for efficiency and so that it can potentially handle spikes and sags in power consumption.

Computer power supply could be used and would be pretty cheap. For an audio application a high efficiency fanless supply would be best, but they would be expensive.

Any cheap Something like a 420W computer power supply would work. (They add up the 3.3V and 5V to get the total output) They would be about $20

the exact radio was not listed just the fuse size... If you have a 10A fuse the normal draw for that device will be less... and a PSU rated for whatever should be able to handle a quick spike.
