Hi Guys i am running a car stereo on my garage just as a cheap project while in lockdown things seem to be ok but just checking i have used an old modem power supply 12v and 1 amp i then use the output to an amp and just turn the fade to front speakers only will i do the head unit any damage or have any adverse effects? cheers

That power supply might be a little small - if you have a multi-meter/volt meter, check that the power supply is maintaining 12 volts with the radio running.
Thanks for the quick reply i have dug deep into my past life and resurrected an old CB power supply 13.8v and 3A and i don't know if it my imagination but it seems louder too ???? once again thank you for the reply
