Hi
I have a couple of issues with identifying cards. First up, I have a card that is clearly marked "GTX 670 KFA2" but system information, speccy, and CPU-z all say it's a GTX 960. Second is an RX 580 that clearly states on the label that it's an "MSI Radeon RX 580 ARMOR 8G OC " but it looks more like an RX 580 Gaming X. I guess what I'm asking is how do I know definitively which it is?

Solution
From where did you get these GPUs?

CPU-Z and GPU-Z are quite accurate when identifying GPUs. Couple possibilities here. First, you could have a counterfeit GPU (in the case of the Nvidia). On the AMD, someone could have installed the BIOS from another make/model or replaced the GPU cooler itself.

Make sure you have the latest versions of both apps installed and verify the findings with both.
