card making noise HELP

my powercolor radeon 9800pro is making strange noise for about 5-10 min when i start my computer. but if i let my computer boot windows xp then i turn off my pc and turn it on again the noise stop . it is kind of strange. it only do it until i restart. But if i restart too fast it do it again. HAAAAAAAA HELP ME. i hate being forced to start my computer 2 time.

You may have a defective cooling fan on the card, if you're absolutely positive the sound is coming from the video card, you may need to get it replaced, ATI carries a three year limited warranty.

Yep, it's probably the fan. My old S3 Trio 64 had problems with the fan, so I just got a replacement fan as it was past it's warranty date. In your case, you can probably just exchange the card itself.

For people who like peace and quiet - a phoneless cord.

Hmmm. i don't know that the S3 trio 64 have fan.
I have one also and it doesn't have any fan.
