I've got a nVidia GTX 1080ti and i'm on windows 10.
It seems at unpredictable times and at no regular interval my screen will go black, my video card fans max out.
The rest of the computer continues to operate fine. I can press "windows key + R" and then t ype 'shut down /t 0 /f /r'
The computer reboots and I can continue to use my computer.

Sometimes it happens once in a day and wont repeat again for a week. Sometimes it'll happen 3 or 4 times with 10 minutes of each reboot.
It IS always when i'm playing a game, but lately I'm not even playing graphic intense games. For example, "Baba is you" or "the binding of isaac"

I've only ever had a video card fail and then continue to be failed. This intermittent behaviour seems strange for failure.

Any thoughts or insight is appreciated.
Thanks,
