I just bought an internal card reader for my computer and I can't seem to get it to work completely. I got the USB port to work because it recongnized my jump drive, but when I tried to plug in my memory stick from my camera, I got nothing. I tested the memory stick on an external card reader and it worked like a charm. Initially I thought it was the stick but that ruled out my theory. I went to the company's website(apacer.com) and there are no drivers to be loaded if you're using Windows XP but I ran the driver cd anyway to see if it would work, but nothing. What's killing me is that the UBS port on it works, but the card reading part doesn't. Any ideas???

are you certain you plugged the card readers' usb connectors to your motherboard correctly? it can be tricky if its the kind that splits all the connectors.

do you see a light on your drive? any indication that its running?

I'm positive the USB connectors are connected right b/c the USB port on it worked and initally I had it connected wrong because even the USB port didnt respond when I put the jump drive in. We took it out and went with an external. It pissed me off too much.
