Card + Speakers

Since there really isn't a category for Computer Audio and I think an actual "gaming/performance" audio card would be a bit better than continueing to use my sabertooth's 990x built in audio, I'm curious as to what Audio card to get.

Also, While I have a great gaming head set, after a while I get tired of using them, especially when i want to watch a movie or something, so is there any speaker setup you guys would recommend?

I've always been fine with onboard audio, but I've heard Sound Blaster cards are still pretty good if you want something better.
