The problem is, on newegg.ca all i can find is 256mb 8600GT and I want a 512mb card... Anyone know a card that is very similar to the 8600GT and doesn't require any hook ups? Ty!

I would go for the 9500GT. It has the same number of stream processors as the 8600GT had, and nearly the same clock speed. It is newer tech, though, and still does not need a separate power hookup. You can even find passively-cooled models, if that is something you want.

Here is a link to one on Newegg, with 512MB (there are also 1GB versions), which is the same price as a 8600GT after mail-in rebate:

Not to be rude, but next time please be specific so we can help.

What are your specs?
How much do you want to spend?
What are your needs?

If your system was good enough to support it, a really great budget card is the HD4770.

I don't mind if it's ATI at all. My budgit is about $70. I know there are better cards out there, but I'm very limited as I only have a 305w power supply. Specs: Dell dimension E520, stock, except it has 3gb of ram.

I'm looking for a card on Newegg.ca that has 512mb-1gb video memory, requires no hookups, GDDR3 and very similar to the 8600GT.

@ BranX: What use will this be put to?
If you game at all then the HD4650/9500GT would be your best choice, although either is quite weak.

For normal tasks or playing DVD/HDDVD/BluRay the much cheaper HD4350/4550 would be a less expensive option. Nvidia cards are less good at video playback but if that is not a problem the 9400 would also be a good choice.
